about
what is TWOFOOT?
How many feet do you have?
We are primates— specifically Homo sapiens (humans,) and like all organisms, we are adapted to certain circumstances. These circumstances were traditionally imposed upon us (e.g., minimum amounts of movement, sleep, sunlight, etc.,) but in 2024, the human experience has shifted so that 6 in 10 adults suffer from at least one chronic disease, and 4 in 10 suffer from two or more (CDC, 2024.)
Current archaeological evidence indicates that the homo sapiens (humans) are ~200,000 years old. Certain relatively recent milestones marked significant deviance from the behaviors that dominated most of human history (e.g., agricultural revolution, industrial revolution, and post-WWII, respectively.)
While modern innovations have progressively and dramatically improved the quality of living on this planet, there have been collateral complications.
Most modern humans lack adequate movement, sleep, nutrition, time outdoors, and community. The consequences to these deviations in evolutionary behavior have resulted in 7 of the 10 leading causes of death being noncommunicable diseases [e.g., (respectively) CV disease, cancer, diabetes, etc.] (WHO, 2019.)
Two Foot Training is designed to help you reconstruct the behaviors necessary for human health in the 21st century.
